 A speech-impaired child has been reunited with his family through the National Emergency Service number 999. On Sunday afternoon, Brahmanbaria’s Sarail Police handed over the child to his family. Shishu Saurabh (12) of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj District, Taora Bazar area. Son of Sharif Ali. Confirming the truth of the incident, Sarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Emranul Islam said that the speech-impaired child was wandering around Bertala Bazar area of the upazila around 11 am on Sunday. At that time, the locals called the National Emergency Service number 999. Sarail police station was informed through 999. Later the police rescued the child and brought him to the police station. When the speech-impaired child is asked about his home, he points to Dhaka with his hand. Later, the matter was reported to all the nearby police stations along with a post on Facebook. A relative of Narsingdi identified the child on Facebook. In the afternoon, her family members came and took the child.
