Younger brother cut off the ear and veins of the elder brother for destroying the duck’s seedbed

In Rajapur of Jhalkathi, an allegation has been made against his younger brother that his elder brother cut off his ear and leg veins due to ducks spoiling the paddy field. The incident took place in West Badurtala village of the upazila around 5:30 pm on Monday. Md seriously injured in this incident. Mojibur Howladar (60) has been admitted to Sher-e Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal. Since the incident, the accused’s younger brother Habib Hawladar (55) is absconding. They are the sons of deceased Pawan Ali Howladar of West Badurtala village. On receiving the information, the police visited the spot. The police and locals said that there was already a dispute between the two brothers over the ancestral property. At around five o’clock yesterday afternoon, Mojibur Hawlader’s duck landed on Habib Hawlader’s land near the graveyard in front of their house and destroyed the paddy field. There was a quarrel between the two brothers based on this incident. At one point, Habib hit his elder brother Mojibur Hawladar’s head with a stick in his hand. In this the left ear of Mojibur Hawladar was completely cut off. The vein was severed below his right knee in multiple stab wounds. The seriously injured Mojibur Howladar was rescued by the family and local people and taken to Rajapur Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty gave first aid and sent him to Barisal Sher-e Bangla Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Rajapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pulak Chandra Roy said that the younger brother of the accused in the incident, Habib Howladar, is absconding. Attempts are being made to arrest him. If complaint is received, legal action will be taken after investigation.
