Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations to arrest militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers and fugitive accused in various cases including murder, kidnapping. RAB has already been able to gain the public’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities.
In continuation of this yesterday on July 09, 2023 A.D. based on secret information, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Dhalpur area under Jatrabari police station of the capital Dhaka, the absconding accused Md. Sahid (40), father- Md. Shamchul Haque, who was sentenced to 07 years in a drug case. Dhalpur, Thana- Jatrabari, Dhaka’ was arrested. Meanwhile, 01 mobile phone was recovered from him. During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed his involvement in the said incident. Since the incident, he is said to have been hiding in different parts of the country including the capital to save himself from the law.
