 A person named Nurul Ayub Chowdhury (38) was arrested while smuggling Yaba at Cox’s Bazar Airport. At that time, 9 thousand Yaba were recovered from him. He was a passenger of a Biman Bangladesh flight at 10:30 a.m. yesterday, Monday (July 10). Later, during the checking in the scanning machine of the airport, the authorities got the information about Yaba in the shoe box in his hand. The arrested Nurul Ayub Chowdhury is the son of deceased Nurul Islam Chowdhury of Chunna Para area of Anwara Upazila of Chittagong. He is a dis cable businessman by profession. Golam Mortuza Hasan, manager of Cox’s Bazar Airport, said that Nurul Ayub Chowdhury was a passenger of a Bangladesh Biman flight (BG-434) at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday. During the search of Nurul Ayub Chowdhury’s bag and other goods, Yaba was found inside the shoe box in his hand. At that time, 9 thousand Yaba were found inside the box. Police and Narcotics Control Directorate have been informed about the incident. The arrested persons, including Yaba, have been handed over to the Narcotics Control Directorate for further legal action.
