Scouts and Rovers provided services to train passengers at Akhaura after the holy Eid-ul-Azha holiday. From Wednesday morning to afternoon, scout members provided various services to passengers traveling to different destinations from Akhaura railway station including boarding the train, loading and unloading goods. Akhaura Railway District Scout has started 2-day long Eid passenger service program. The Scouts members conducted assistance in boarding and alighting the train, provision of drinking water for the passengers and cleanliness of the station area. 30/35 members of 6 scout groups are participating in this service work.
According to district scout sources, thousands of train passengers travel to different destinations through Akhaura Railway Junction Station after the Eid-ul-Azhar holiday. During this time, the station is very crowded. So passengers have to face some difficulty in finding specific train and train compartment and boarding the train with women and children. In this situation, Akhaura Railway District Scout has started Eid passenger service program for 2 days for the convenience of passengers. Scouts and Rovers and officials of Agniveena, Godhuli, Surya Sainik, Holy Child, Digant and Tritashi Railway Mukta Scout Group are participating in this activity. Along with passenger service, online ticket registration is also done.
