“Chapai Press Club” auspicious opening with the slogan “We are in search of truth, for freedom”. On Wednesday morning, Chapai Press Club was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon at a temporary office west of Shahneyamtullah College at Vishwa Road intersection in Chapainawabganj district city.
Officially in the presence of the guests, the committee of Chapai Press Club was announced and an 11-member committee was formed including the president Daily Khola Kagaz District Representative Akhtaruzzaman and General Secretary Daily Sakal Saham District Representative Jamshed Ali and Organizing Editor Daily Janbani Patrika District Representative Sohel Rana.
Akhtaruzzaman, president of Sadya Chapai Press Club and district representative of daily Khola Kagaz newspaper, presided over the opening ceremony. Nawabganj Government College principal Shankar Kumar Kund was present as the chief guest. Principal of Chapai Nawabganj Technical Business Management School and College and General Secretary of District College Teachers Employees Welfare Association Atiqul Islam were special guests. Jamshed Ali, General Secretary of Sadya Chapai Press Club conducted the program.
The students of Hafizia Madrasa recited from the Holy Quran before the program started. After that Imam Anwarul Islam of Shahneamatullah College Jame Masjid prayed for the success of future generations through a special prayer at the direction of Desh Basi and Chapai Press Club. After that lunch break is given at noon. And in the afternoon the guests formally inaugurated the Chapai Press Club office by cutting the ribbon.
Representatives of civil society, individuals from different classes and professions, journalists working in various print and electronic media of the district and journalists of the newly created Chapai Press Club were present at the inauguration ceremony.
