Sharif Sardar (28) was arrested with a country-made one-shooter gun, a back part of a cartridge and 10 pieces of yaba in a raid by Rajbari police station.
He was arrested from his house in Lakshmikole Kalibari area of Rajbari municipality at 4 am on Tuesday (July 4). The arrested Sharif Sardar is the son of Shaheed Sardar of Lakshmikol Kalibari municipality.
Rajbari District Police Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Iftekharuzzaman confirmed the matter through a notification and said that Rajbari District Police has been working to suppress all types of crimes and bring criminals under the law, including drug terrorism, militancy, extortion and illegal weapons possession. Following this, a smart raiding team of Rajbari police station came to know on the basis of secret information that drug trade is going on in Lakshikol Kalibari area of Rajbari Municipality. On Tuesday (July 4) at approximately 4:00 PM, a raid was conducted at Shaheed Sardar’s house in Laxmikole Kalibari area of Rajbari municipality to recover drugs and his son Sharif Sardar (28) recovered 10 pieces of Yaba tablets and a domestic one-shooter gun with the back of a cartridge. .
He also said that legal action is under process against him for confiscation under the Illegal Drugs and Domestic Arms Act.”
