Three arrested while stealing bags of tourists taking a bath

When the tourists used to leave their valuables inside the beach bags and took a bath, those bags were targeted by thieves. The tourist police arrested three members of the gang from Kuakata beach in Patuakhali. When a tourist named Enamul took a bath at Kuakata beach last Sunday, the police managed to arrest them with the help of locals while fleeing with his bag. On Sunday (July 2), the police arrested a tourist while stealing his bag at the Kuakata beach. Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, Additional Superintendent of Police, Tourist Police, Kuakata Region, gave this information in a press conference on Monday (July 3). The arrested are Nurul Islam Majhi (59), son of deceased Budai Moral of Munshiganj’s Sirajdikhan police station, Ismail Hossain (41), son of deceased Zainal Abedin of Bhanga upazila of Faridpur, and Rakib (38), son of deceased Abdur Rashid Chowkidar of Barisal’s Gournadi. According to the police, the members of this gang used to steal and rob all over the country. Especially when the tourists visiting various tourist spots Kuakata, Cox’s Bazar, Hatirjheel, Sylhet, Rajshahi and other areas left their valuables in the bath, they stole those goods and ran away. Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad said that there are several cases against these three gang members in different parts of the country. They are all outsiders. Currently, the case against them is under process.
