The documents of Brahmanbaria district Awami League office were destroyed. At the time of the incident, the public meeting of the founding anniversary was going on. Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Kamrul Islam, District Awami League President R. A. M Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury and others spoke. A written complaint was given to Sadar police station in the evening in this incident of Saturday afternoon. The complaint does not mention that anything was stolen. However, the complaint was not registered till Sunday evening. Police say that necessary legal action will be taken in this regard. District Awami League office supervisor Deepta Chakraborty stated in the written complaint given to Johnny Police Station that Moktadir Chowdhury MP went to the venue from the Awami League office of Haldarpara in the municipal area around 4.30 pm on Saturday to attend the public meeting of Awami League. Between five and six o’clock, unknown miscreants broke through the SS pipe at the back of the office and destroyed the documents in the president’s room. The matter is immediately informed to the concerned. District Chhatra League senior vice-president and witness No. 2 in the complaint lodged at the police station Sujan Dutta alleged that the incident was planned. He said, “We want the police to quickly find those involved in this incident and bring them under the law.” Officer-in-charge (OC) of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Mohammad Emranul Islam said that efforts are being made to find out who or who did such a thing through the CCTV footage. Plaintiff’s complaint requires some amendment. A case will be registered after it is settled.
