Miscreants tried to kill the son by entering the bedroom of Md. Jadu Mia (43), the owner of Doa Hotel, the parents’ house, at Gokulpur Mulapara, Rangpur’s Pagalpir. The family found the son unconscious and admitted him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
Maruf Hossain Jim (19) was sleeping in his bedroom on Saturday night (23 June 23). Ignorant people ran away thinking that they were dead, cut their hair and locked them in sacks.
At 4am on Sunday June 24, Jim’s father was going to the bathroom when he found the door to his son’s room open. When he opened the door, he saw the boy lying in a sack unconscious inside and started screaming. Neighbors came on hearing the screams and called an ambulance with their help and admitted him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
The boy’s father, Jadu Mia, has filed a complaint at the Sadar Kotwali police station. Officer in charge of Sadar Kotwali police station in this regard. Sushant Kumar said, “We received the complaint and the police went to the spot and the investigation is on.”
