2-year-old child shot to death of pregnant mother

A two-year-old boy was shot dead by his pregnant mother in the United States. Police confirmed this information on Tuesday local time. The accident happened in Ohio on Friday (June 16) local time. According to a CNN report, the child fired his father’s handgun and accidentally hit his mother. The child’s mother (31) and her unborn child died in this incident. The identity of the deceased woman was announced at a press conference by the Norwalk Police Department. The woman’s name is Laura Igg. After being shot in the back, he somehow called the police himself. At that time the woman said that she was eight months pregnant. Her husband also called 911 for help. He said that his wife called him and shouted something. They need help. The police reached there immediately after receiving the call. They broke the closed door and entered. Laura had knowledge even then. Her two-year-old child was next to her and a handgun was lying some distance away from them. At that time, at Laura’s request, the child was removed from there. The woman narrated the entire incident to the police. The woman was immediately shifted to the hospital. There, he underwent an emergency operation. However, doctors later declared the woman and her child dead. Police said they seized the handgun from the woman’s home. While the woman was busy at work, her son got hold of the handgun and started playing with it, officials said. At one point the child accidentally shoots his mother. Officials also said that investigation into the incident is underway. No charges have yet been filed in the incident.
