Six arrested with 72 kg ganja in Vijayanagar Brahmanbaria

Police have arrested six people for drug dealing in Brahmanbaria’s Vijayanagar along with 72 kg of ganja. On Wednesday night, on the basis of confidential information, the six persons were arrested along with ganja from the house of identified drug dealer Salim Mia of Kashinagar village of Singerbil Union of the upazila. The arrested are, Sajal Mia (30) son of Mon Mia of Kashinagar village of Vijaynagar upazila, Fatik Mia (30) son of Majnu Mia of the same village, Salim Mia (35) son of Abdur Rahman, son of Amir Hossain of Nayanpur village of Brahmanbaria town area. Hasan Mia (42), Ahad Mia (30) son of Manu Mia of Ulchapara village of Ramrail Union of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila, and Masum Mia (45) son of Hira Mia of Bhairabpur village of Bhairab Upazila of Kishoreganj district. A case has been filed against them at Vijaynagar police station. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Vijayanagar police station. Raju Ahmed said, among the arrested, Sajal is a professional drug dealer in the area. There are 13 cases against him in the police station. The arrested were sent to court on Thursday afternoon.
