In two separate raids in Lalmonirhat, the police arrested three drug dealers with 195 bottles of Phensidyl and 72 Yaba tablets.
This information was confirmed by Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ershadul Alam on Wednesday (June 21) morning.
The arrested are- Liakat Ali Neko (50), son of deceased Bano Mamud of Kalmati Pakar Matha area of ​​Khuniyagach Union of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila, Antar Mia (23) son of Majhu Mia of Krishnapur Collegepara Taltala area of ​​Kurigram Sadar Upazila and Murad Mia (19) son of Jamsher Ali of the same area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Ershadul Alam said that as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation, Liaquat Ali Neko, a seller, was arrested along with 195 bottles of Phencidil from Kheya Ghat of Teesta River on Tuesday night (June 20).
On the other hand, in a separate operation at the same time, two persons named Antar and Murad, suspiciously from Kurigram, were arrested in front of the toll plaza of the Teesta road bridge on the Rangpur Kurigram highway. Later, their bodies were searched and 72 Yaba tablets were seized. Two separate cases have been filed under the Narcotics Control Act against those arrested in this incident.
