Human chain in Naogaon demanding exemplary punishment for those involved in journalist Nadeem’s murder

Journalists held a human chain program in Naogaon to protest the brutal killing of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem in Jamalpur and to demand exemplary punishment for all those involved in the murder. This human chain was held in front of Naogaon Mukti Mor Shahid Minar square at 11 am on Sunday (June 18). Meanwhile, Naogaon District Television Print Online Journalists Association, Bangladesh Moafswal Journalists Union, and Bangladesh Press Club Naogaon branch observed this human chain under separate banners. General Editor of Naogaon District Television Print Online Journalist Association M.R Rocky, President of Bangladesh Mofswal Journalist Union Khorshed Alam, Office Secretary Rasheduzzaman, and President of Bangladesh Press Club Mahabub Alam Rana and other members spoke at the mannabandhan. Speakers in the human chain said that journalists are being attacked while performing their professional duties. But these cases are not being judged. The people in power got the courage to kill journalist Nadeem of Jamalpur in this way today as the attack on journalists was not prosecuted. The speakers demanded that those involved in the murder of journalist Nadeem be brought under the law and ensure speedy punishment.
