In the road accident that happened on Saturday night in Khadera Namaksthan of Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Comilla-Sylhet highway. A young man named Yar Hossain (33) was killed. He met with an accident on the way back by donating blood to a relative under treatment at Brahmanbaria district headquarters.
Deceased Yar Hossain is the son of Nawab Mia of Pakdeora village of Bangra Bazar police station in Comilla. Yar Hussain died on the spot when the CNG-powered auto-rickshaw was hit by a ‘roller vehicle’ used for road construction. Two more people were injured in the accident.
Kasba Police Station, Khantihata Highway Police Station and the sources of an organization called Broadbank of Andikut Union have confirmed this information. According to sources, Yar Hossain is a regular blood donor and co-organizing secretary of Broadbank of Andikoot Union.
Meanwhile, on behalf of an organization called Amara Bangra Bazar Police Station, a person named Ariful Islam wrote on the social media Facebook that Yar Hossain spoke to him on a mobile phone around 3:30 pm. Then he said that he had come to Brahmanbaria to give blood to his elder brother.
Kasba Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Mohiuddin, Khantihata Highway Police Station OC Akul Chandra Biswas said that the accident took place in front of the rural electricity office in Khadera area around 8:30 pm. The injured have been sent to the hospital. Police are on the scene. He has an ID card of an organization called Broadbank of Andicut Union.
