 Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has become a place of trust for the victims of innocent people by suppressing heinous crimes like fraud and rape along with operations against militants, terrorism and drugs.
 The victim’s parents work in a bag making factory in Shubhadhya area under Dakshin Keraniganj police station in Dhaka district. The victim’s parents have been living in a rented house near the workplace to take care of their children while working. On 12/06/2023 AD at approximately 22:15, the victim’s mother went home after work and saw the house owner’s brother Md. Jahangir Hossain coming out of their house. Then the mother of the victim quickly entered her house and found the victim (09) lying on the floor of the house naked and bleeding. When the victim’s mother asked the victim, she said that Jahangir, the brother of the owner of the house, suddenly entered their house, stripped her, raped her against her will and left the house after showing various threats.
  After learning about the incident, the victim’s mother informed her husband. When the victim’s father came home, they immediately took the victim to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment, and the doctor on duty confirmed the rape and provided the necessary treatment. Later, when they returned home, the owner of the house threatened the victim’s parents with various threats of death for not informing anyone about the incident. Later, on 15th June 2023, the victim’s mother filed a complaint with the captain RAB-10, Keraniganj, Dhaka.
  Based on the complaint, a raid team of RAB-10 increased shadow investigation and intelligence surveillance to arrest rapist Jahangir. In order to arrest the said raiding party yesterday 16th June 2023 A.D. conducted an operation in Subhadhya area under Dakshin Keraninj police station of Dhaka district on the charge of raping a 09 year old child Md. Jahangir Hossain (45), father- deceased Fazle Karim Gharami, Sang- North Chitlia, police station. – Muladi, District-Barisal, A/P Sang-Shubadhya, Thana-Dakshin Keraniganj, District-Dhaka were able to be arrested within 24 hours of the complaint. During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed his involvement in the said incident.
 The victim’s mother filed a rape case against the arrested accused in the concerned police station.
