Brahmanbaria 14 June 2023 On the initiative of Active Citizen Group (ACG), Brahmanbaria formed under the inspiration of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and Conscious Citizens Committee (SANAK) on Wednesday 14th June 2023 at 11:30 AM, discussion meeting of ACG with hospital authorities to improve the quality of service at Brahmanbaria 250 bedded General Hospital. In the speech of the chief guest, the director of the hospital Dr. Mohammad Wahiduzzaman said that the 250-bed general hospital is still trying to provide maximum service despite various limitations including manpower and infrastructure. He said that various initiatives have been taken to increase the quality of hospital services with the joint sincere efforts of all. Actions have been taken on the issues discussed in the last meeting such as pharmaceutical company representatives being able to meet the doctor for 1 hour once a week on Wednesday, improving cleanliness and running a complaint box. Actions will be taken on the issues mentioned in the open discussion and these issues will be resolved expeditiously. He also informed that from last 13/06/2023, the 250-bed general hospital has started the emergency health service program announced by the government, the patients can take the service from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the fee fixed by the government. He requested everyone to provide necessary advice and cooperation to improve the quality of service. In the president’s speech, the convener of Sanak’s subcommittee on health. Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury thanked the authorities of the 250-bed General Hospital for carrying out their duties with sincerity in increasing the quality of service. Resident Medical Officer, Nursing Incharge, Nursing Supervisor, Ward Master, Sanak members, ACG members and YES members of the 250 bedded General Hospital were present in the meeting.
