Inauguration of Baikal Institutional Health Service at Barura Upazila Health Complex

Post-mortem institutional health service program has been inaugurated at Upazila Health Complex in Barura, Comilla On Tuesday, 13th June at 2 pm, Hon’ble Health Minister Zahid Malek MP inaugurated the ‘Post-mortem Institutional Health Service for Doctors in Government Hospital’ program online from the meeting room of the Ministry of Health. On this occasion, Mayor of Barura Municipality Md. Baktar Hossain was present as the chief guest along with Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Kamrul Hasan Sohel in the organization of Barura Upazila Health Complex organized by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday afternoon. Fee-paying patients in government hospitals will now get outpatient health care from specialist doctors. In the first phase, this service program was launched in 51 government hospitals, in continuation of that, today, in the second phase, this service program has been launched in a total of 132 government hospitals across the country. Till date, a total of 183 government hospitals have launched Baikal Institutional Health Services. Health Minister Zahid Malek said while inaugurating the program of ‘Physicians’ death chamber in government hospitals’ at the meeting room of the Ministry of Health on Thursday, June 13, that this service will be available in 12 head hospitals and 120 upazila health complexes of the country, i.e. a total of 132 hospitals. Government doctors will see patients from 3 pm to 6 pm in addition to existing government health care till noon. Also check for various diseases. Through this, patients will get quality services and the pressure on private hospitals will be reduced, he expressed hope.
