Hathurusinghe is busy showing wickets after returning home

So back home, the head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe is busy looking at the wickets of Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Hathurusinghe returned to Dhaka on Saturday night. The Sri Lankan coach appeared at the home of cricket at 11 am on Sunday. But the practice schedule of Bangladesh team is from 2 pm. This coach came to the field 3 hours ago and showed 100% of his dedication. As soon as he came to the field, Hathurusinghe rushed to Mirpur’s center wicket. There the chief pitch curator Gamini De Silva saw the wicket, the discussion went on for quite some time. He was then seen talking to Cricket Operations Manager Shahriar Nafees. The last international match was held in Mirpur in March, after which the Walton Dhaka Premier League was played here. That too ended in mid-May. Gamini has had some time on his hands to fix the pitch and ground. Hathurusingha’s performance today shows that the management is very careful with the wickets against the Afghans at home. The national team’s initial camp started a few weeks ago, but the head coach was on vacation. The camp has been running so far under assistant Nick Pothus. Practice will start again in full swing from 2 pm today. Although the squad for the Test is yet to be announced, that too is likely to happen today. Bangladesh-Afghanistan will meet in Mirpur on June 14. The Afghanistan team is scheduled to reach Dhaka on June 10.
