Central BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that the entire nation is in a state of suffocation. Ruhul Kabir said this while talking to reporters after Zillur Rahman’s namaaz. He mentioned that the departure of a self-sacrificing leader like Zillur Rahman is an irreparable loss for the party. At this time, BNP leaders and workers bid farewell to Zillur Rahman’s coffin with floral tributes. Later, his body was buried in the Sherpur cemetery of the municipal area. Zillur Rahman breathed his last at The Lab Aid Specialized Hospital on Jail Road around 7:30 on Monday evening. He was 75 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters, political activists and numerous well-wishers.
