Brahmanbaria in celebrating 50 years of receiving Bangabandhu Julio Currie Medal

The 50th anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman receiving the Julio Curie Peace Medal was celebrated in Brahmanbaria. This was the first international medal won by any state leader in independent Bangladesh. Later, prizes were distributed among the 21 winning students who took part in the quiz and drawing competition to mark 50 years of the Julio Curie Medal. At the end, a wonderful cultural program was held by local artistes. Before this, a procession circumambulates the main thoroughfare of the municipal area.
