College teachers in Dumki demand the hanging of human chains

In Dumki of Patuakhali, residents of Patuakhali held a human chain program to protest against the suicide of a college teacher, a false case in the name of her son and the killing of newborns and the hanging of the accused teacher. On Saturday afternoon at 5:30 pm, more than 500 men and women held this human chain program for an hour on the highway adjacent to Chargarbadi Ferighat of Muradia Union of the upazila. Victim Md. Mujibur Munsi, a resident of Chargarbadi area of Muradia union of upazila, said in his speech that my younger son Md. Zakaria (22) and daughter of Muradia Aziz Ahmed degree college teacher Zakir Hossain and Shahnaz Begum Dapati, daughter of class 10 school student Zakia Sultana, have been in a long relationship with Jui. The love relationship of the day was going on suddenly the children got married with both consent. Enraged by this, Zakir Hossain attacked and tortured my family members along with a kidnapping case. This month (May 10th), the police arrested Zakaria from my house and took his son’s wife Zakia Sultana Jui while she was pregnant. Later, when Zooey was taken to the hospital for caesarean section, the fetus was found to be sick and my grandson died that night. Later on last Tuesday, the police arrested Zooey from my house under a false pretenses and left him in the custody of his father. This sent my son to jail, unable to bear the death of his son’s wife’s newborn, my wife Hanufa Begum tried to commit suicide by drinking pesticide last Thursday morning. Later, the people of the house rescued her unconscious and rushed her to Patuakhali Medical Hospital where my wife died at night. I demand immediate execution of killer college teacher Zakir Hussain and release of my son. Besides, Syed Alamin Meera, Monir Munshi, Akalima Begum, Taslima and Nazma Begum demanded the hanging of the accused Zakir Hossain in their speech and demanded the release of Zakaria.
