“Measure blood pressure correctly, keep it under control and stay healthy” World High Blood Pressure Day was celebrated on Wednesday 17th May 2023 in Dinajpur in association with Zia Heart Foundation. On the occasion of celebrating the World Hypertension Day, Zia Heart Foundation and its affiliates organize various programs including day-long free medical camps and mobile free medical camps. The free medical camp was held at Zia Heart Foundation premises from 9 am to 4 pm. A large number of patients take free blood pressure measurements and get good advice from doctors in these camps. Apart from this, free mobile medical camps were held at different points of the city including Shaheed Baramath premises in the heart of Dinajpur. A seminar on high blood pressure was held at the auditorium of Zia Heart Foundation at 11:30 am on the occasion of Zia Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute, Care Specialized General Hospital Dinajpur and Dinajpur Care Nursing College. Dr. Md. Mesbahul Islam, Senior Consultant Cardiologist of Zia Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute spoke as the main speaker in the seminar chaired by Dr. Sudha Ranjan Roy, Acting Director of Zia Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute. Zia Heart Foundation General Secretary AKM Azad, Joint Secretary Abu Taher Abu, Treasurer Md. Anwarul Kabir, Care Specialized General Hospital Acting Director Dr. Ashraf Uz Zaman (Litton), Dinajpur Care Nursing College Principal Dr. Sharmin Sattar. The seminar was chaired by Md. Akhtaruzzaman, the activities of the mobile medical camp were managed by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer Golam Rasul and the assistants in the camp were Administrative Officer Samser Ali, Public Relations Coordinator Syed Shafiqur Rahman, Store Keeper AKM Shafiqul Islam, Marketing Officer Md. Rashidul Islam. , Staff Nurse In-charge: Masuda Khatun, Staff Nurse Jasmine Ara Jui, Tabassum Jannat etc.
