Human chain in protest against the terrorist attack on the house of journalist leader and freedom fighter Amirul Islam

A protest rally and human chain was held in Kushtia at the house of BFUJ executive member and vice president of Kushtia Press Club KPC, veteran freedom fighter and senior journalist Prof. Amirul Islam. The human chain and protest rally was held in front of KPC. Journalist Union Kushtia and Kushtia Press Club KPC President Rashedul Islam Biblab presided over and moderated by Journalist Union Kushtia General Secretary Mahmud Hasan, Journalist Union Kushtia Office Secretary Feroz Kaiser, Muktijoddha Manch Kushtia District General Secretary Lion Arifur Rahman Khan and others addressed the rally. Speakers at the rally said, the terrorist attack on the residence of the nation’s best child and a senior journalist is a sign of what it is! Journalist leaders have expressed their deep anger and strong condemnation and protest as the attackers have not been arrested even though they have complained to the police station and said that the quick arrest of the attackers at the house of Prof. Amirul Islam, executive member of BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists, senior journalist and publisher and editor of the weekly Mukur newspaper, is exemplary. If the punishment is not given, a nationwide movement will be developed even more strictly at the national level. Kushtia Press Club-KPC and Journalists Union of Kushtia were also present in the rally.
