On the occasion of the 162nd birth anniversary of the world poet Rabindranath Tagore, a discussion meeting, distribution of prizes and interesting cultural programs were held in Chapainawabganj. Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate AKM Galiv Khan spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized by the Chapainawabganj district administration and in the district art academy auditorium. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam presided over the event. Devendra Nath Uran, Deputy Director of Local Government, Principal of Nawabganj Government College Prof. Dr. were present as special guests. Shankar Kumar Kundu, brave freedom fighter Advocate Abdus Samad and others.
Shibganj Government Adina College principal Mazharul Islam Taru presented the original essay on the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in the discussion meeting. At the end of the meeting, the guests distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti celebrations. Then Rabindra Jayanti concluded with a delightful cultural evening performed by various art groups of the district. Heads of various government departments, students of various educational institutions, daily Janbani newspaper representative Sohel Rana and journalists from print and electronic media were present.
