Police arrested a person named Saifur Rahman with a foreign pistol, magazine, bullets and a large quantity of drugs in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat. Hatibandha police officer-in-charge (OC) Shah Alam confirmed the matter on Friday (May 5) morning. Earlier this morning, he was arrested from his own house in East Nodabas 8th Ward of Nodabas Union of Hatibandha Upazila. The arrested Saiful Islam is the son of Abdul Ghafoor of that area . According to police sources, Saifur Rahman’s house was raided on a tip-off and he was arrested with a foreign pistol, a magazine, three rounds of bullets, 175 pieces of yaba and a large quantity of ganja. Saifur Rahman is accused in the case of attack on police in Hatibandha in 2021. Hatibandha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaha Alam said, in this incident, Hatibandha Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezaul Karim has filed a case as the plaintiff.
