Body of the newborn found from the side of railway line in Kurigram

The police recovered the body of a newborn from a land near the railway line in Rajarhat Union of Kurigram’s Rajarhat sub-district. The body was recovered on Sunday (April 30) morning. Rajarhat police station OC Abdullah Hill Zaman confirmed the truth of the incident. The OC said that on Sunday morning, a local woman went to tie a goat on a land next to the railway line under Sadar Union of the upazila near Tograihat railway station and saw the dead body. Later, when the locals informed the police, the police recovered the body. However, no identity or guardian of the child could be traced. Locals could not tell anything about who or who dumped the body. OC said, the body was recovered by sending the police to the spot. The place is under the jurisdiction of Railway Police. They will take legal action.
