 This year’s SSC and equivalent exams are starting today on Sunday. This year the total number of candidates in 11 education boards is 20 lakh 72 thousand 163 people. Among them, 10 lakh 21 thousand 197 students and 10 lakh 50 thousand 966 female students. This year SSC and equivalent exams will be conducted with full marks and full time on the revised short syllabus. The exam will start at 10 AM and end at 1 PM. Candidates must enter the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The total number of centers in 11 education boards is 3 thousand 810 and the total number of educational institutions is 29 thousand 798. Out of this 9 general education boards have 2 thousand 244 centers and 17 thousand 786 educational institutions. Madrasa Education Board has total 716 centers and 9 thousand 85 educational institutions. And the technical education board has a total of 850 centers and a total of 2,927 educational institutions.

This time the total number of educational institutions increased by 207 and centers increased by 20. According to the group-wise statistics of 9 general education boards of SSC examination, 5 lakh 44 thousand 574 candidates in science department, 8 lakh 23 thousand 885 in humanities and 2 lakh 80 thousand 816 candidates in business education are participating in the SSC examination. Education Minister Dipu Moni gave this information at a press conference after the meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee formed to conduct the SSC and equivalent examinations in a fair, plagiarism-free and positive environment at the International Mother Language Institute on April 25. In the press conference, it was informed that all the sets of question papers of the specified date will be taken to the center from the treasury and the assigned officials have been given the responsibility to deliver the question papers to the center. 25 minutes before the start of the exam, the set code of the question paper will be informed to the concerned through SMS. No one other than the Center Secretary will be allowed to enter the center with mobile phones/electronic devices. Only Central Secretary can use mobile phone. Even in that case, the phone must be one that cannot be used to take pictures. In the year 2022, the number of candidates in science department was 5 lakh 7 thousand 254. 37 thousand 320 candidates have increased in this department. Statistics show that the total number of candidates for SSC and equivalent exams in 2022 was 20 lakh 21 thousand 868. Among them there were 10 lakh 9 thousand 511 students and 10 lakh 12 thousand 357 female students.

Compared to 2022, the total number of examinees in 2023 increased by 50 thousand 295 people. The number of female students increased by 38 thousand 609. The theory test under General Education Board will be conducted from 30th April to 23rd May and practical test from 24th May to 30th May. Theory exam under Madrasa Board will be held from 30th April to 25th May and practical exam from 27th May to 3rd June and theoretical exam of Board of Technical Education will be held from 23rd May and practical exam from 25th May to 4th June. All the coaching centers of the country have been closed on April 26 in order to conduct the SSC and equivalent examinations in a fair, beautiful and cheating-free environment. Instructions have been given to keep these coaching centers closed till May 23. Calling on the parents, the education minister said that there is no chance of leaking the question papers. Calling the parents not to listen to rumours, he said, no one should try to create rumours. The minister said that candidates should enter the center half an hour before the examination. The examination centers associated with the examination control room of the education boards will exchange information online round the clock. The result will be published within 60 days of the examination.
