The police have arrested 05 more accused involved in the open murder of Jubo League leader and former Shibganj municipal councilor Khairul Alam Gem in Chapainawabganj.14 accused were arrested in this discussed murder case.
Additional Superintendent of Police Abul Kalam Shahid confirmed the matter in a press briefing at the Chapainawabganj District Superintendent’s office on Tuesday (April 25).
The arrested accused are: Milan Harfe Belal Islam (35), son of deceased Echan alias Echan of Hujrapur Kazipara village of Chapainawabganj municipality, Saju Islam (28) son of deceased Abdul Latif of the same area, Nitai Chowdhury (45) son of deceased Bishulal Chowdhury of Hujrapur Relbazar village, Noor Alam alias Alam (32), son of deceased Abdul Wadud of Bara Indira Mor Islampur village, Rana alias Chhota Rana (30), son of Mazharul Islam of Behula village, Hobartala Union of Sadar Upazila, were able to arrest them in various parts of the country.
Additional Superintendent of Police said that Super AHM Abdur Raqib, BPAA, BPM, PPM (Bar) under the overall supervision of Superintendent of Police, 05 more accused involved in the murder were arrested in a joint operation with police and DB police to arrest the criminals involved in the murder. Later last (April 24) at approximately 11:30 p.m., 03 motorcycles used in the murder were recovered from Godagari Railbazar village of Rajshahi district according to the information shown by the accused.
He said that 14 accused have been arrested so far in the Khairul Alam Jam murder case. He said that the operation to arrest other accused involved in the murder case is continuing.
