A Facebook based organization called ‘Sahay’ gave Eid gifts to 200 needy people in Brahmanbaria. Deputy Commissioner Md. gave these gifts to the needy in a ceremony organized at Shilpakala Academy on Thursday afternoon. Shahgir Alam. Brahmanbaria Municipality Mayor Nair Kabir presided over the ceremony. Additional Superintendent of Police (Finance and Administration) was the special guest. Iqbal Hossain, General Secretary of Brahmanbaria Press Club. Baharul Islam Molla, Brahmanbaria Journalist Union President Deepak Chaudhuri Bappi, Journalist Nazrul Islam Shahzada. President of “Sahay” organization. Ashraf Uddin Emon and General Secretary Jewelur Rahman Jewel said that the main task of this organization is to stand by the neglected people of the society. The members of this organization have given Eid gifts to 200 families with their own funds. Each person is given five kg of normal rice, one kg of khasa rice, one kg of oil, one kg of dal, two packets of semai, one kg of sugar, two kg of onions and two kg of potatoes as Eid items.
