51st foundation anniversary celebration of Krishak League in Rajshahi

 The 51st founding anniversary of Bangladesh Krishak League, one of the affiliated organizations of Awami League, was celebrated in Rajshahi with various events in front of the slogan ‘Krishak Bachao Desh Bachao’. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman founded the organization in independent Bangladesh on April 19, 1972. Leaders and activists of Rajshahi district Krishak League placed wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best Bengali father of the nation for a thousand years, at CNB intersection on Wednesday. Earlier, a rally was held at CNB Mor to mark the day. Under the chairmanship of Rajshahi District Farmers League President Principal Tajbul Islam and General Secretary and Paba Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Wazed Ali Khan, Vice President Prof. Entaz Ali and Abdul Quddus Khan, Organizing Secretary Shafiul Karim Imon Mondal and Asadul Haque Dukhu, Finance Secretary were present on the occasion. Enamul Haque Mandal, Legal Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain Mostafa, Publicity and Publication Secretary Enamul Haque Ripon, Office Secretary Nazrul Islam Chinu, Information and Research Affairs Secretary Kazi Abul Hannan Tangku, Irrigation and Power Affairs Secretary Shariful Islam Sharif, Cultural Affairs Secretary Abdus Salam, Religious Affairs Secretary Rezaul Karim, Joint Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Yusuf Ali Chowdhury, Executive Members Akhtar Rahman, Mohsin Ali, Kavi Kamal Parvez, Saroware Alam Manik, Firoz Ahmed Rana, Abdul Jalil. Also present were Sujan Kabir, Nasir Uddin, Russell Ahmed, Tipu Sultan and other leaders and workers of different levels of District, Upazila, Municipality, Union and Ward Farmers League. At the end of the discussion meeting, special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members and long life and good health of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Also, the leaders expressed their commitment to work together for the victory of Awami League nominated candidate Bangladesh Awami League President Mandli and Rasik Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton in the upcoming Rajshahi City Corporation Election.
