01 drug dealer arrested with 1970 piece Yabas in RAB-9 operation

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9, Sylhet arrested 01 drug dealers including 1970 piece Yabas from Akhaura police station area of Brahmanbaria district in Sylhet anti-narcotics operation. Based on secret information, a raiding team of RAB-9, CPSC, Brahmanbaria camp conducted an operation in North Dharmanagar area under Akhaura police station of Brahmanbaria district on the night of 17th April 2023 and arrested 01 drug dealers after recovering 1970 pieces of Yaba. The arrested person is Md Arif Mia (25), son of Liton Mia, a resident of Dharmanagar area of Akhaura police station in Brahmanbaria district. Arrested accused Md. Arif Miar has multiple cases in different police stations. Which are:- Akhaura Police Station Case No-15/485, dated 15/12/2018, Akhaura Police Station Case No-28/168, dated 19/04/2019, Kasba Police Station Case No-32, dated 29/01/2018, Akhaura Police Station Case No-66/235, Date-28/05/2020, Akhaura Police Station Case No-30/30, Date-24/01/2023 and Akhaura Police Station Case No-12/219, Date-17/07/2021. RAB-9’s intelligence activities and ongoing operations will continue to implement the zero tolerance policy against drugs announced by the government. For further legal action, a case has been filed against the arrested drug dealer under the relevant section of the Narcotics Control Act-2018 and the accused and the seized items have been handed over to Akhaura police station in Brahmanbaria district. has been
