RAB-10 arrested 02 drug dealers with 04 kg of ganja from Motijheel area of capital

 Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this, yesterday on April 4, 2023 AD, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Arambagh area under Motijheel Thana of Dhaka and arrested 02 drug dealers with approximately 04 kg of ganja. Name of arrested persons 1. Md. Sharif Ahmed (43) and 2. He is said to be Md. Hanif (38). Meanwhile, 02 mobile phones were recovered from them. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons are professional drug dealers. It is known that they have been collecting ganja and other narcotics from various border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to Motijheel and surrounding areas of the capital. A drug case has been registered against the arrested persons in the concerned police station.
