Jimin, one of the members of the renowned band BTS, has opened up about “feeling lost and depressed” during the creation of his new song, Set Me Free Pt.2. A video shared by BangtanTV sheds light on the process of creating the song, which led into the greater conversation about the singer having to combat these emotions.

“Set Me Free Pt.2 was created when I was feeling lost and depressed. I was determined to overcome those feelings and this song conveys those emotions,” stated Jimin in the video. “I think I wanted to express that emotion in the choreography as well. So, the choreography turned out to be very intense like this. But the people I’m working with are doing a great job. I am the only one I should be worried about.”

The vocalist also opened up about managing his weight and food cravings. “It’s not easy keeping my weight within the 50kg range, but I’m kind of getting used to it now. Every night, I write down what I want to eat before going to bed. Yesterday I wrote, Kalguksu, Daechang, and Ramyeon. I was craving something spicy. It’s been so long since I’ve had Tteokbokki too. Kalguksu with kimchi sounds really amazing.”

This revelation comes at a time when Jimin is ready to release his first solo album, Face. Set Me Free Pt.2, which is included in the album, consists of a very different sound from what BTS fans may be used to hearing. However, the song has already garnered 39 million views within a week of its release.
