Rakib Hossain Sohel, Lakshmipur District Correspondent : Fertilizer and seed distribution has been held among 2,000 farmers at the initiative of Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office. Free fertilizer and paddy seeds were distributed among 2,000 small and marginal farmers under the agricultural incentive program in the 2024-2025 fiscal year. On behalf of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Mr. Jamshed Alam Rana, Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, inaugurated the fertilizer and seed paddy distribution in front of the Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office on Thursday, April 23rd at noon. After the fertilizer and seed paddy distribution, Mr. Md. Shariful Islam, Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer, Mr. Md. Zahirul Islam, Deputy Assistant Plant Protection Officer, Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officer, and others were present at the program presided over by the Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer. The fertilizer and seed paddy distribution program was addressed by the Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Executive Officer and other officials. At the same time, the Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer said that under the agricultural incentive program for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, 2,000 small and marginal farmers of 21 unions and one municipality of Sadar Upazila have been given free agricultural incentives of Aush Kharip-1, Aush paddy seeds of 5 kg, DAP fertilizer of 10 kg and MOP of 10 kg for cultivating one bigha of land.
