BGB has arrested three people with 2.49 lakh fake taka in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. They were arrested with fake notes after a body search at the Marichya check post at 10 pm on April 19. One of the arrested is a current UP member. Thearrested are Mohammad Hasan Talukder (31), UP member of Kawarkoop, son of the late Golam Quader, Mohammad Kajal (24), son of Mohammad Shafi, and Mohammad Ehsanul Haque (32), son of the late Anu Mia. All three of them are residents of Kawarkhop Union.Kawarkhop UP Chairman Shamsul Alam said that Mohammad Hasan is a member of Purba Para (Ward No. 4). He has not been coming to the council for the past 3-4 months. Such an unwanted incident has questioned the image of the entire council.
Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Emon Kanti Chowdhury said legal action is being taken against those arrested and those who are involved in the incident will be questioned.
