The body of a fisherman named Moslem Pramanik (50) has been recovered by the naval police from the Padma River in Daulatdia of Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari. The deceased Moslem Pramanik is the son of the deceased Haider Pramanik of Idrispara village of Daulatdia.
Locals saw the body floating in the Padma River in the Shahazuddin Bepari Para area around 10 am on Saturday (April 19).
Family members said that on Friday afternoon, Moslem Pramanik went to the Padma River to fish in a small dinghy. When he did not return home that night, his relatives started searching for him. The next morning, locals found his body floating in the river and informed the police.
Upon receiving the information, the Daulatdia Naval Base police reached the spot and recovered the body. No injury marks were found on the body. Since there was no complaint from the family, the body was handed over to the family without an autopsy.
