Firoz Alom, Staff reporter: The police arrested a leader of the volunteer group in Bauphal of Patuakhali. He was arrested from his house in Adabaria Union of the upazila around 4 am on Saturday. The arrested Liton Khandkar is the joint convener of the Adabaria Union Svechasevak Dal.
It is known that a police team raided Liton Khandkar’s house on Saturday after receiving information from secret sources. At that time, 500 pieces of yaba were recovered from him. A case has been filed in the police station in this regard.
Baufal police station OC Kamal Hossain said Liton Khandkar is a professional drug dealer. He has several drug cases against him.
