Sports Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad could not compete with Mumbai Indians at home. Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai easily defeated Pat Cummins’ team by 4 wickets and 11 balls.
The target was not very big, 163 runs. Mumbai got a good start with the run chase with the bat of Rohit Sharma. Rohit scored 26 runs in 16 balls with 3 sixes. Another opener Ryan Rickelton scored 31 in 23 balls.
Then Will Jacks and Suryakumar Yadav took the team a long way. 26 came from the bat of Suryak with two fours and two sixes in 15 balls. Jacks scored 36 runs in 26 balls.
After Jacks’ return, the run chase became easier for Mumbai. Hardik Pandya started killing immediately. When Hardik returned after scoring 21 runs off 9 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six, Mumbai needed just 1 run to win. Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 21 runs off 17 balls.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings was restricted to 162 for 5 due to controlled bowling by Mumbai’s bowlers.
However, Hyderabad started well after losing the toss and opting to bat at the Wankhede Stadium. They scored 46 runs without a wicket in 6 overs of the power play. Abhishek Sharma returned with Travis Head to form an opening partnership of 59 runs off 45 balls. He scored 40 runs off 28 balls.
Ishan Kishan was dismissed at number three for 2 off 3 balls. Travis Head could not bat in the T20. This batsman scored 28 in 29 balls against Australia. Hyderabad lost 3 wickets for 82 runs. After that, the pace of runs slowed down.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen tried to form a partnership. But the runs did not match the ball. 31 runs came in 33 balls. Reddy made 19 off 21 balls and went to the crease. Klaasen was then 15 off 20 balls.
However, Klaasen opened his hands after being set. He played an innings of 37 runs off 28 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes before being bowled by Bumrah. There were 11 balls left in the innings.
In the end, Aniket Verma scored 18 off 8 balls with 2 sixes and Pat Cummins scored 8 runs unbeaten off 4 balls and 1 six to take the team to 162 runs.
