Mohammad Sharifuzzaman (Special Correspondent): BanglaNext, which has emerged as the largest social community platform for the first time with the aim of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the prosperity and growth of expatriates, content creators, businessmen and media professionals, successfully completed its grand New Year event “Matir Tane Ranggar Boishakh” on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, Bangla 1332, Pahela Baishakh evening, a special and grand Baisakhi event was held at the “Seven Seas” five-star hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the presence of the founding president Arab Khan, founding general secretary Md. Ali Akbar Asha, founding executive members, people from different walks of life and distinguished media personnel, with the participation of more than 500 expatriate Bangladeshis.
On behalf of the community, the founding president Arab Khan, founding secretary Md. Ali Akbar Asha, founding executive members, distinguished artists and guests participated. The event featured cultural performances including Baisakhi food, international buffet, folk dance and music, awarding of awards, live talks, media connections, and impeccable performances in a festive atmosphere, and later interacted with all the distinguished guests present.
The full committee was announced in the presence of the respected founding members and dignitaries on behalf of the community. This committee includes President – Arab Khan, Vice President – Sheikh Raihan Abdullah, Vice President – Badhan Ahmed, General Secretary – Md. Launch of the “10 Lakh Volunteers” Global Campaign
This event inaugurated Bangla Next’s proud initiative—Global Bangladeshi Volunteer Network. The goal is to create 1 million conscious volunteers among Bangladeshis spread all over the world, to achieve SDG Goal 17 and on behalf of the Bangla Next family, express our sincere gratitude and love to all members, sponsors, media partners, volunteers and guests. And said “We are proud, we are Bengalis.
We are moving forward together – towards the future”.
The respected founding members said that the main goal of this initiative is to achieve the United Nations (SDG) Sustainable Development Goals, as well as to achieve the prosperity and growth of Bangladeshis and Bangladeshi expatriates around the world, to connect and build bridges with various creative professionals including content creators and media professionals, which will work for the development of Bangladesh. The main theme of BanglaNext is “Together, Together We Build”.
BanglaNext’s initiative is directly related to the following goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
1. Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth – Employment for expatriates, income generation through content creation, and entrepreneurship development.
2. Goal 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure – Development through remittance technology and creation of creative platforms.
3. Goal 10: Reduction of inequality – Reducing socio-economic disparities between expatriates and their home countries.
4. Goal 17: Achieving the goals through partnerships – International cooperation, content brands, investors and organizations.
The esteemed founding members, invited guests, media and esteemed journalists present at the event highly appreciated such initiatives and assured everyone to work together and provide all-round cooperation. It is hoped that it will create a huge response among the Bangladeshi expatriates in Bangladesh and around the world and move forward successfully.
