Lawyers vandalized  chamber for not paying  subscription

Desk Report: On 05/08/2024, after the fall of the government, taking advantage of the current situation in the country, fascist Awami Volunteer League Central Organizing Secretary Faridur Rahman Khan Iran and Dhaka Metropolitan Jubo League General Editor Eng. Sabbil Alam Litu’s close associate, business partner and central Volunteer League leader Farid Uddin Ahmed and former Home Minister and Jubo League Central General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil’s financier and Jubo League central leader Akhtar Hossain were demanding a subscription of 20 lakhs from Advocate Sheikh Lalon Ahmed, posing as the alleged BNP, who had changed his color and changed the names of BNP leaders. When the victim did not listen to him, on 27/02/25, the assailants entered the lawyer’s chamber 4/A, Mahabub Plaza, Ground Floor, Farmgate, Sher-e-Banglanagar, Dhaka and created a ruckus: by creating and displaying a frightening situation, they forcibly snatched valuable collaterals of various individuals and organizations kept in the chamber, such as contracts, original documents of various cases used in the trial, documents, checks. The lawyer informed that if the valuable collaterals snatched in compromise due to fear of future loss of life in view of the current law and order situation, they will not be returned before Eid without a ransom of 20 lakh taka. Later, the victim lawyer went to the chamber after the Eid vacation and found that the above-mentioned two thieves and an unknown terrorist, with the aim of profiting themselves and others by not receiving the demanded ransom money, had vandalized the lawyer’s chamber in the dark of night on 12/04/25 at approximately 8:30 pm: They looted more than 300 case documents, contracts, checks, original documents, 1 laptop, 3 computers, 3 printers, 3 scanners, furniture, legal books and DLR worth more than 5 lakhs of taka, and 25,500,000/-(twenty five lakh fifty thousand) taka belonging to the client regarding land purchase: The chamber had destroyed evidence: They had taken possession of about 100 crore taka by causing damage. When the victim lawyer went to file a case at the police station regarding the matter, the police station authorities advised him to file a case in court.
