On 07/04/2025, at about 12.30 pm, the victim (12), a student of class 2, went to her grandmother’s house in Bhanga police station of Faridpur to eat cinnamon at the house of the accused Delwar Molla @ Delo (55), who lives nearby, calling everyone including the wife of the accused to eat cinnamon. Later, when the victim asked the accused to call his wife from inside the house as there was no one in the house, the accused locked the door and raped her.
2 In that case, the victim’s father filed a case with Faridpur Bhanga Police Station vide case No. 12/107, dated 09/04/2025 AD., Section-9 (1) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, 2000 (Amendment 2003). The investigation officer of the case sent a letter to the captain, RAB-10, Dhaka, to bring the accused involved in the incident under the law. On the basis of the letter, an avionic team of RAB-10 increased intelligence surveillance to arrest the accused.
In this regard, at about 14.30 pm on 14/04/2025, based on secret information and with the help of information technology and RAB-11, a team of RAB-10 conducted a drive in Komolpur area under Raipura police station in Narsingdi district and arrested Delwar Molla @ Delo (55), father of deceased Dhala Molla, Sang-Harupadia, Thana-Bhanga, District-Faridpur.
The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
