Chairman Dr. Asaduzzaman is not following any of the government policies in the formation and performance of the Barendra Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) of Rajshahi. But after Asaduzzaman took over as chairman, there has been unrest in BMDA. He has exerted his influence in all areas, including transfers, contracting, irrigation policies, and operator appointments. As a result, farmers have protested in the field over the irrigation policies. There have been incidents of deep tube well operators occupying their houses in various areas of the Barendra region. In addition, farmers have challenged the decision to appoint operators.
