The final of the nationwide national Qerat competition on the occasion of Arafat Rahman Koko’s 10th death anniversary was held on Sunday (March 16) at the Zia Orphanage Trust Maidan, Gabtoli, Darail Bazar.
Under the overall management of Bogra District BNP Human Rights Secretary, Gabtoli Thana BNP member, and former Municipality Mayor Md. Saiful Islam, Gabtoli Arafat Rahman Koko Sports Academy organized this exceptional event.
Hundreds of competitors from all over the country participated in the Qeraat competition. This time, Gabtoli Municipal BNP General Secretary Md. Abdur Rahim Pintu, former president Dr. Chabed Ali, Municipal BNP Vice President Atoar Rahman, Matiur Rahman Moti, Organizing Secretary Md. Tariqul Islam, Municipal Zia Parishad General Secretary Lecturer Hamidul Haque Shilu, Women’s College Principal Nur Alam Siddiqui, Shyamal Tarafdar, Jubo Dal leader Anwar Hossain, Tajul Islam, Daulatzzaman Dipu, Chhoni, Student Party leader Abdul Gani, Abdul Wahab, Kamal, Rahi, Labor Party leader Shafiqul Islam, Anisar Rahman, Jewel, contestant Hafez Qari Fahad Hossain. Various scholars served as judges in this event. The winners of the Kkerat competition were awarded prizes by the chief guest Arafat Rahman and Saiful Islam, founder of Coco Sports Academy. The first prize was 50 thousand taka, the second 40 thousand, and the third 30 thousand taka. In addition, 20 people were given prizes and crests in different categories.
The event ended with the participation of hundreds of people and an iftar mahfil.
