On Saturday, March 15, on the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Pirojpur District BNP Convener Principal Alamgir Hossain distributed Iftar among low-income people at the CO office premises of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila.
Leaders of various organs and associate organizations including Pirojpur District Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal were present with him in the Iftar distribution program.
At this time, District BNP Convener Principal Alamgir Hossain said, “On the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, we will hand over these Iftar items to you. In this way, from today onwards, we will try to deliver Iftar to the fasting people in the remaining Ramadans. I hope you will accept this Iftar with joy and pray for the good health of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, and pray that Allah will grant martyred President Ziaur Rahman and the late Arafat Rahman a place in heaven.” He also said, “With the cooperation of all of you, there will be a beautiful and fair election in this country. If the hopes and aspirations of the general public are realized in that election, BNP will come to power. We always want to be with the people, we want to understand the language of the people.” After a brief discussion, he handed over Iftar to the general public.
