Considering the common people ahead of Eid, Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam commented that it is not possible to create obstacles on the highway due to salary and other issues.
He said this at a press conference at the Gazipur Industrial Police Office auditorium at 10 am on Thursday (March 13).
The Inspector General said, “Everyone has the right to salary and bonus before Eid. We always warn factories that delay salary and bonus. But please do not let workers rush onto the roads and create obstacles to the movement of people. This is also mentioned in the law. We are reminding you of that again and again.”
The Inspector General also said, “Tell us about any problems you have, help the police by providing information, I hope everything will be resolved.” Moreover, the police are ensuring the safety of life and property in the country from their respective positions.
Baharul Alam said, “Dhaka and surrounding districts become largely empty during Eid.” Our police force is specially prepared to provide security to prevent theft and other incidents during this time. In addition, the police are ready to properly perform their duties to maintain order on the roads during the Eid Yatra.
Gazipur Superintendent of Police Dr. Jaber Sadiq, Industrial Police Superintendent AKM Jahirul Islam, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nazmul Kabir were present at the press conference.
