Police have arrested Md. Alamin Mia alias Nijhum, leader of banned organization Chhatra League in Goalando, Rajbari.
In a press release, Goalando Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter.
Md. Alamin Mia alias Nijhum is the general secretary of Ward No. 4 Chhatra League of Goalando Municipality and is a suspected accused in the case related to the attack on the anti-discrimination student movement.
The press note stated that on Monday, March 10, around 12:00 noon, Goalando Ghat Police Station (OC Investigation) Uttam Kumar Ghosh along with the Sangiya Force conducted a drive in Juran Mollarpara Mohalla of the municipality and arrested Alamin Mia. He has been sent to jail on the orders of the Rajbari court.
