Divisional Commissioner Mokhtar Ahmed inaugurated AI fish farming activities in Trishal

AI fish farming activities have been inaugurated in Trishal, Mymensingh.

The inauguration of this program was held on Monday (March 10) under the planning and implementation of the Trishal Upazila Administration. Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Mokhtar Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the event.

AI technology is used in fish farming in different countries of the world. In this method, the overall running of the pond is monitored through web and mobile applications using the integrated use of artificial intelligence-based Aquaculture 4.0 technology automation devices and vertical expansion technology. The main purpose of adopting such a method is how to produce 3 to 4 times more fish in a small space and reduce the amount of manual labor.

Using this technology in a pond of one acre of land, the total purchase and installment of sensors and other technical equipment will cost a maximum of five lakh taka.

During the inauguration, the chief guest told reporters that Mymensingh produces the most fish in the country. In that case, our new innovation project will take fish farming further forward.

He also said that this project is currently in the experimental stage, the activities of this project will be carried out experimentally in 12 unions of this upazila. So that fish farmers are interested in fish farming in this method.

Trishal Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Al Bakiul Bari, Assistant Commissioner Land Md. Mahbubur Rahman, and Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mansur Ahmed were present at the time.

Officers and employees of Trishal Upazila government institutions and media workers of print and electronic media were also present at the event.
