Eati Akhter: On 08.03.2025, a discussion titled “What we can do to protect the sanctity of Ramadan”, a meritorious award, Iftar and Doa Mahfil-2025 were held on the 2nd floor of Hotel Ornate (Three Stars) in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, under the initiative of Bangladesh Journalists’ Unity Council. The program was inaugurated by Md. Omar Faruk Jalal, Secretary General of Bangladesh Editors’ Forum and Chief Editor of Daily Present Times. Justice Sikder Maqbul Haque, Bangladesh Supreme Court, was present as the chief guest. Peerzada Shahidul Harun, former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance, was present as the chief discussant. Professor Dr. Zakia Sultana Shaheed, Monirul Islam Monir, Chief Advisor, Bangladesh Journalists’ Unity Council were present as the special guests. The event was chaired by Sabbir Ahmed Rony, Chairman of Bangladesh Journalists Unity Council. After the discussion, the women were felicitated with crests on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
