On 28/02/2025, at approximately 09:00 in the morning, the local people of the area found the body of an unidentified woman (45) on the banks of the Bishkhali River under Patharghata Police Station in Barguna district. After that, the local people informed the Patharghata Police Station, and the police reached the spot and recovered the body of the unidentified woman. Later, the village police of the area, Md. Khalilur Rahman Howlader, filed a case of accidental death with the Patharghata Police Station of Barguna district as the plaintiff. Case number-06, date-28/02/2025.
The investigating officer of the said accidental death case learned during the investigation that the name of the victim woman was Roxana and during his investigation, the incident of accidental death appeared to be a murder. Subsequently, the investigating officer of the case sent a request letter to the commander of RAB-10 Battalion to arrest the suspect involved in the murder, Md. Shahzada (46). Upon learning of the matter of the mentioned murder, an operational team of RAB-10, CPC-3 Faridpur Camp started increased intelligence surveillance and shadow investigation to unravel the mystery of the murder and bring the accused involved in the murder to justice.
In continuation of this, the operational team of RAB-10 conducted a joint operation in the Gas Road area under Kadamtali Police Station of the capital on 05/03/2025 at approximately 15:30 hrs with the assistance of information technology and the cooperation of RAB-1. In the said operation, the suspect* Md. Shahzada* (46), father-Ekub Ali Howlader, Sang-Lebubunia, Thana-Kathalia, District-Jhalakati, who was found involved in the murder of Clueless Roxana, was arrested.
The process of handing over the arrested accused to the concerned police station is under process.
